We create an intentional pause in our busy lives. Our class is less about performance or perfection, and more about presence, inviting participants to slow down, reconnect with breath, and listen to the body as it is, not as it “should be.”
Whether a gentle restorative practice designed to calm the nervous system or a sweat-inducing Primal Flow that builds strength, resilience, and rhythm, each offering will be rooted in mindful awareness and sustainable movement. The focus will not be on pushing past limits, but on learning when to soften and when to engage.
At ROOTSPACE, our workshops and events are an extension of how we gather, welcoming, accessible, and rooted in real experience rather than performance. Whether you are stepping into a space like this for the first time or returning after time away, each offering is designed to help you connect, explore, and move in a way that feels natural to you. You can expect a supportive, beginner-friendly environment with clear, grounded guidance, space for both movement and stillness, and an atmosphere that is relaxed, engaging, and deeply felt. There is no pressure to get it right and no expectation to perform, just an invitation to be present, connect, and take a little something meaningful with you when you leave. You are welcome here if you are curious, feeling hesitant, looking to try something new, or simply in need of a reset from the pace of everyday life.
Our next offering, Salsa Basics, takes place on Saturday, May 30, from 7:00 to 8:30 PM, creating space for movement, music, and connection within a shared experience.
uproot: Somatic Movement is an ongoing invitation to return to your body through awareness, sensation, and intuitive movement, gradually building toward free-form expression through ecstatic dance. Rooted in somatic practice, this offering creates space to slow down, listen, and explore how your body wants to move without pressure or performance. Whether you are new to this work or deepening an existing practice, uproot is designed to help you reconnect with breath, release tension, and build a more responsive relationship with your body.
You can expect a grounded, supportive environment with guided prompts, spacious exploration, and an emphasis on internal experience over external form. As the session unfolds, this awareness naturally expands into more expressive, rhythmic movement, culminating in an optional ecstatic dance experience where you are invited to move freely, follow your own impulses, and fully inhabit your body. There is no right way to move here, only an opportunity to notice, respond, and rediscover your own rhythm. uproot is for anyone seeking a deeper sense of presence, a reset from daily patterns, or a more intuitive, embodied way to move and release.
Our next gathering will be on Thursday, May 28th, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
